Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about how the calculators work, what they can and cannot replace, and how your inputs are handled.
Frequently Asked Questions overview
This standalone page summarizes the most useful swervice resources for this topic and links visitors to the related calculator tools, formula explanations, and support pages.
Are all calculators really free with no sign-up?
Yes — every single calculator on swervice is permanently free, requires no account, no email, and no credit card. There are no premium tiers or locked features.
Do you store my calculation inputs?
No. All calculations run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. When you enter income, property values, or health measurements, those numbers never leave your device. There are no API calls to our servers for calculations.
How accurate are the formulas?
Every formula is sourced from a primary authority — ICPI for paver base, EPA for septic sizing, HMRC for UK tax rules, USARIEM for rucking MET values, and so on. We document the source on every calculator page and in the companion guide.
Should I rely solely on these calculators for legal or medical decisions?
No. For sensitive decisions in law (property, family law), medicine, structural engineering, and finance, calculator outputs should be reviewed with a licensed professional. Our tools are for educational estimation — we disclose limitations clearly on every page.
How often are calculators updated?
We monitor regulatory changes for any tools based on rules that can change — tax rates, building codes, medical guidelines. We publish last-reviewed timestamps on all educational content and update affected tools when the underlying standard changes.
Can I suggest a calculator that's missing?
Absolutely. Use the Contact page and describe the calculation you need. We review all suggestions and prioritize based on demand. Many of our calculators were added because users asked.
